AEC Pilot is operated by 7Dimensions OÜ, Narva mnt 5, 10117 Tallinn, Estonia (registry code 14770084).
This Privacy Policy explains how 7Dimensions OÜ (“we”, “us”), which operates AEC Pilot, collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our website (aecpilot.com) and the AEC Pilot add-ins for Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Advance Steel, Navisworks, Inventor, 3ds Max and Robot Structural Analysis (the “Software”). We are the data controller for this processing. If you have any questions, contact us at info@aecpilot.com.
1. Data we collect
- Account data — your name, email address and company name, provided when you create an account, and the country and city derived from your network address when you sign up. We do not store the address itself.
- Sign-up source — how you first reached our website (for example a search engine, another website or a campaign link) and the page you arrived on, saved with your account and trial licence when you sign up.
- License data — your license key and username, trial/expiry status, a machine identifier and machine name used to bind a license to a single computer, the version of the Software and the Autodesk product and release it runs in (for example Revit 2026), and the country and city your licence was first seen from, derived from the network address when the licence is activated. We do not store the address itself.
- Usage statistics — only if you allow them: a daily summary, linked to your license, of which AEC Pilot tools and commands you run, how often, how long they take and whether they succeed; error types and where they occur (never the error message); for Pilot Chat, the number of messages and tokens and the AI provider and model; and the size range of your models (for example 50,000–200,000 elements). Usage statistics never contain your models, drawings, file or project names, prompts or AI replies. You are asked once and can change your answer at any time in Pilot Chat Settings; saying no also deletes what was counted on your computer.
- Downloads — when you download the installer, we record the date, the product, the country and city, the browser and device type, and a one-way hash of your network address (never the address itself); downloads are for signed-in users and are linked to your account.
- Order data — when you buy a license, we record the order and issue the invoice in our business system (Odoo), and your card payment is handled by our payment provider, Stripe. We keep the purchase record (such as your name, email, company, plan, and country) to issue and manage your license and to meet our accounting obligations.
- Website statistics — pages visited, how you arrived (for example a search engine, another website or a campaign), country, device type, browser and operating system. Our website platform records basic statistics; if you accept optional cookies, Google Analytics also measures your visits, and we keep its daily totals, not individual visits, in our business system. We do not use this data for advertising or track you across other sites.
- Messages — any information you send us through the contact form, live chat, a support ticket, the uninstall survey or by email.
The Software runs locally inside your Autodesk apps. We do not collect or upload your models, drawings, or project files.
Pilot AI. When you use Pilot Chat, your messages and the model information needed to answer them are sent directly from your computer to the AI provider you choose (for example Google, Anthropic or OpenAI), with your own API key and under that provider’s terms. They do not pass through our servers. Your conversations are stored on your computer. If you connect your own AI client over MCP, that client exchanges data with its provider in the same way.
2. How we use your data
- To create and manage your account and license.
- To validate your license and enforce the one-machine-per-license limit.
- To send service emails (account confirmation, your license key, password resets, and important notices).
- To respond to your enquiries and provide support.
- To understand aggregate website usage, see which channels bring new users, and improve our product and website.
- To find and fix problems and decide what to improve, from the usage statistics you have allowed.
3. Legal basis
We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the Software and license), on the basis of your consent (where applicable), and for our legitimate interests in operating and securing our service.
Usage statistics are processed only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Pilot Chat Settings. The Autodesk product and release sent with the license check is processed for our legitimate interest in keeping the Software compatible and supporting it.
Google Analytics runs only with your consent, which you give or refuse in the cookie banner and can change at any time (see section 8). How you reached our website is recorded with your sign-up for our legitimate interest in knowing which channels bring new users.
4. Service providers
We share data only with providers that help us run the service:
- Odoo S.A. — website hosting, customer accounts, orders, invoicing and email (Odoo Online).
- Cloudflare — relays the license check and the usage statistics sent by the add-ins to Odoo, where license records are kept.
- Stripe — card payment processing.
- Google Ireland Limited — website analytics (Google Analytics), only if you accept optional cookies.
Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and license data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your login is removed; we may retain a deactivated license record for legal, accounting, and anti-abuse purposes.
Usage statistics are kept as daily totals for 90 days, then as monthly totals, and are deleted after 24 months.
Google Analytics keeps visit-level data for at most 14 months. The daily website totals we keep in our business system contain no personal identifiers.
6. Security
Access to our systems is restricted and passwords are stored hashed. Licensing uses a secure server check. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR and other laws that may apply where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update your details in My Account, or contact us at info@aecpilot.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. In Estonia this is the Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, www.aki.ee).
8. Cookies
We use first-party cookies that the website needs: to keep you signed in, remember your language, time zone and cookie choice, and keep a live chat conversation open.
Optional cookies are set only if you click “I agree” in the cookie banner: Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) that count visits and show how visitors find and use the website, kept for up to 2 years. Your browser then also keeps a note of how you first reached our website for 90 days; it is sent to us only if you sign up. If you choose “Only essentials”, no analytics cookies are set, nothing is sent to Google Analytics, and that note lasts only until you close the tab. You can change your choice at any time on the Cookie Policy page, linked at the bottom of every page.
If you arrive through an affiliate link, a cookie keeps the referral code for 60 days so its discount can be applied at checkout. We do not use advertising cookies. Videos on our pages are embedded in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode; YouTube may set its own cookies once you play a video.
9. Children
AEC Pilot is a professional tool and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above when we do.
